Community digital infrastructure · Chicago
We build the infrastructure between the regional network and your community.
NODE Networks carries high-capacity fiber and wireless from the region’s data centers and carrier networks into neighborhoods, and runs it as one network for the schools, homes, businesses and institutions that need it.
Why NODE
The capacity exists. We bring it home.
- 1
The capacity is already here.
The Chicago region is full of data centers, fiber routes, carrier networks and research networks.
- 2
But it stops short.
Too many neighborhoods, buildings and institutions sit nearby and still aren't connected to it.
- 3
We carry it the rest of the way.
NODE builds and operates the infrastructure that closes that gap, block by block.
- 4
Then everything can run on it.
Internet access, private networks, research, edge computing and services that don't exist yet.
More than an Internet connection
Internet is one of many things our network carries.
A typical provider sells you a connection. We build and operate the infrastructure underneath it: the transport, the neighborhood hubs and the links into every building. That foundation carries Internet access today, and private networks, research connections and edge computing alongside it.
